I've been reading Train Man. This is quite possibly the best manga I've ever read that is based on a real event.

It starts out with an average otaku riding home on the train. A drunkard is harassing the passengers. When the drunk nearly punches a young lady in the face, the otaku attempts to stop him [It's a mix of that justice feeling and the urge to show off for the girl.]. The victims are called to a police station to be questioned about the event. Afterwards, they exchange contact information... Except the otaku didn't get the girls information.

A few days pass and he recieved a package. It was from the girl. She had sent him a token of appreciation. With the girl in his heart and mind, he turns to 2chan for advice.

And that's basically the first chapter.

2chan? ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh God thats funny.....never thought there'd be a reference to that site in a manga.....

Of course thats just silly, trying to get love advice from a porn forum (or rather, one that doesn't focus on it, but doesn't discourage it either). If its anything like 4chan (I can't read the Japanese that well) he's gonna get flamed so bad....

More on topic, been reading Negima (latest volume came out 6/28, very entertaining) and a bit of Love Hina in my spare time. I have odd volumes of Blade of the Immortal, its dope....too bad the girl who gave them to me didn't have the first two. Guess its another thing to buy....

From my experiences, 2channers are actually really nice. Mind you I've only posted there a few times, but my point rests.

The 2chers took extremely well to him. They gave meaningful advice, sympathy, etc...

I can't wait for the OVA to come out.

You must not be from around here then....you can't post on 2chan with a non-Japanese IP address, it won't let you. How'd you get around that?

Proxy. I didn't want to have to resort to it, but all other options didn't work.

I've been told that you can post using Google's translator feature, or something to that effect. I doubt it's true, though.

Fruits Basket 10, like Tohru.  *smiles*
From Far Away 4, and I want more.
And, I know this isn't a manga, but Eragon.  I can hardly wait for Eldest.  Ooh, dragons.  The movie for Eragon is supposed to come out soon too.

You mean Eragon right?  Yeah, it's really good.  Actually this is the second time that I've read it.  I could go through some of it, if you want.

I read Peacemaker Kurogane 1-3 over the weekend, and I'm currently working on the second installment of Fullmetal Alchemist.  I've got Cromartie High #2 on the way.

Currently, From Far Away Vol. 13.  Actually, I'm not really reading it since it's all in Japanese, but I enjoy following the story with the pictures.  It's actually really good.  Either that, or I'm really easily entertained.  Soon, I will read Bleach.  Borrowing that from my friend.

My long waited Kino no Tabi novels finally arrived, all I had to do was get Hannah to translate them. I sent her an e-mail with a few scans. Shortly after, I found out Tokyopop licensed the novels. What a waste of my time and money. v_v

To perk myself up, I started Naisho no Tsubomi. Yay for the manga that spawned thousands of lolicons!

LAN Rule #8- There is only one female gamer in existence. Do NOT be scared if you see her, just back away slowly and return to your computer as if nothing happened, and above all else, avoid making any eye contact.

And Shepards we shall be, for thee my lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. We shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris, et Filius, Spiritus sanctus, Amen.
